There are about 40 different illustrations to color in. The styles of illustration are all varied, which makes it fun because there's always something new to color. The illustrations are all on one side of the pages with a blank page in back, so you don't get bleed through. The book is big, 8.5"x11", and the paper quality is okay, but could definitely be better, but for such a reasonable price it gets the job done.

THIS IS YOUR COLORING BOOK!What's so cool about the Mystical Owls Colorng Book is that is brings back the nostalgia of youth but with an adult angle. However, it appeals to kids as well so it's good for families who have a range of children in their household. Unless you're on a road trip. Buy more than one book. You don't want a fight on your hands.What I like primarily about Mystical Owls is that there are so many styles of owls to choose from. There are geometric designs, steampunk, cartoon, realism and more. I always found the perfect owl to fit my coloring mood.What is also cool is because there are so many different styles of owls in the book, I was able to work on different coloring techniques like shading, highlighting and accentuating. I can be as detailed or not so detailed, create in monochrome or use every color in pencil box. It's my porogative! Only, I stay inside the lines. To color outside I dare not go.

This coloring book is great for all ages; for adults who need stress relief and artistic children who like drawing in the lines with lots of colors, and of course anybody who likes owls! There's a great variety of styles of illustrations, some with thick lines and thin lines, it definitely changes things up to have so many different styles of owls to choose from. It makes it so you'll hardly ever get bored with this book! The pages are 8.5 x 11'' you're typical printer sized paper, and single sided. They're sturdy and thick enough to withstand colored pencil, markers, or whatever dry medium you prefer to color in, without feeling like you're marking up every single side and page. It's thin enough to slip into a backpack or a larger purse and not even feel it, that way you can color anywhere. Overall, it's outstanding quality for a great price, and i'm definitely glad I made this purchase!
