Must read for Student Pharmacists and Pharmacists new to practice By Kristy Brittain It is my greatest hope that each student I meet grows to think independently, not be feared with breaking the mold or routine, yet also instill care and kindness in their daily lives and strive to create a better world. The world and our profession need more people like Megan Jamison. Success is being aware enough to be critical of the world and situations but compassionate enough to do it in a way that shows grace and integrity. I admire Megan's ability to step outside the box and encourage student pharmacists to build a career their are proud of, all while making the world a kinder and healthier place.

It is geared toward pharmacy students-- at ANY point in your career-- but Megan's enthusiasm and passion for life and her field is definitely contagious- and would really be a good read for anyone. It is full of helpful and inspiring stories and tips. It is honest; she is willing to admit her mistakes, her false assumptions, and how she learned from them. It has an important message of learning how to break the mold and be inspired to take your own path.

By Sean Sumner I loved this book, I am a physical therapist and proud to be in the healthcare field, and I found this book to be a breath of fresh air. It is not a cookie cutter book that talks about getting done with school and starting a regular job, but instead a great uplifting book that will help you get out and live your life with meaning whether you are in school or already practicing. Healthcare can be more than just finishing school and going to work, there are so many great opportunities out there and the author does a great job of showing what can be possible.The authors passion for her profession and her energy for life are infectious throughout. She does a great job of bringing in personal stories, relevant interviews, awesome quotes, and great examples of ways to grow as a professional.I really enjoyed how she showed some of the opportunities that Post Grad Students can take advantage of while still in school including how great it can feel to be part of a medical mission to countries in need. These types of opportunities are out there, and sometimes it just takes someone talking about the experience to get others to learn more about it.You can tell that she is committed to her profession and helping others and she is showing it by giving 100% of the proceeds of this book to a great charitable organization, one which she has devoted her own time to, called the Palmetto Medical Initiative. THAT'S RIGHT 100% OF THE PROCEEDS. We can all learn a little from her passion and commitment and I hope that she will inspire many more in her profession.
