Elizabeth Hamilton and her husband Jamie had a great life in Chicago but the economy changed and they ended up moving to Little Rock where Jamie works with his cousin at an auction house. While life is busy and good for Jamie, Elizabeth hasn’t coped well with the change, she sulks and it is started to affect their marriage. They go to Memphis to visit Jamie’s Uncle Mason and the family homestead. While there, a trip to a festival has Elizabeth finding and bring home a small paddle with the words Brat Remedy on it. Can a ghost, a dream, a family homestead, a paddle and two people willing to try something new save this marriage? The plot kept me captivated with a mischievous ghost who isn’t afraid to administer discipline to a spoiled brat. The dialog is heartwarming and the emotions are open and honest.

They had recently moved from Chicago to Arkansas because of a job for Jamie. Elizabeth (Betsy) worked when she wanted to for a temp agency using her accounting background. Betsy was unhappy living in the South. Their marriage was strained because of it. Betsy has a dream that she is spanked. She finds herself aroused when she wakes up.They come to find out that the man who spanked her is a family ghost. And he expresses his displeasure with her attitude towards her marriage by smacking her bottom. Eventually,she and Jamie work things out and there is a HEA.I enjoyed the story. It was fanciful, but I enjoyed reading how they solved their marriage problems. I give this 4 stars.

It is the story of a spoiled woman who doesn’t react well to a move toanother state and a different life that she had previously. She is seriously thinking about divorce.They take a trip to their uncle’s house and discover it is haunted by Jamie’s grandfather. Hewas a disciplinarian and is more than willing to react from beyond the grave.This story has a happy ending. There are no graphical sexual scenes. Spanking were with paddle,crop and hair brush. An overall sweet story.
