The author just goes back and tells the beginnings of the characters. While the author is great she needs to keep in mind that people enjoy this series and may be disappointed to find out they waited this long for the story to continue and it doesn't . I'm very disappointed that this was all there was to the book. I won't be preordering anymore of her books and most likely won't buy the next in the series if there is one. I pre ordered and counted down the days to find out what happens and all I got was back story?? REALLY?? The author thinks that's what we wanted? So disappointed!

Jessica Meigs definitely succeeds in doing that. I love her characters and enjoy the development of them. The story has just the right amount of suspense to keep you turning those pages. I favorably recommend this book for those of you who enjoy this genre.
