About the Author Lucienne Coifman, a former research assistant in biochemistry, is self-taught in the art of weaving. She has been developing and teaching her rep weave methods and designs for more than thirty years. Her work has appeared in Handwoven and Shuttle Spindle and Dyepot magazines and in juried exhibitions in Europe and throughout the United States. 6 of 6 people found the following review helpful. New rep classic By Amazon Customer Just got my copy and it is lovely! Clear directions, with many helpful hints on how to make rep weaving easier. Beautiful projects and a section on designing your own projects. She assumes you already know how to do basic warping and doesn't include that (Thank you!) and instead uses the space to describe what rep is and gives clear, concise explanations of her weaving notation, threading and treadling and offers several alternative treadling methods. I initially had some misgivings about the 'games' portion of the design section, but now that I see it, I understand its value. Patterns are given for 2, 4 and 8 harness looms. This one is a keeper!!
