About the Author Julia Snegireva, a down-to-earth artist from Russia, has spent much of her life traveling across the country, gaining inspiration for her remarkable zentangle and mandala graphics in the amazing landscape and people. She lived for some years on the Coast of the Baltic Sea, where the 2014 Winter Olympics were held, though she now calls Moscow her home. Known for her decorative and charming patterns, Julia has always enjoyed doodling, creating inspired pieces with a flamboyance of ornaments and Baltic design as well as motifs wrought from the appeal of the ancient Ureal Mountains. The combinations and methods blend together in a variety of ethnic designs and paintings that has gained her international attention. Beautiful, intricate designs, my new favorite way to unwind By Kitty Smith I didn't even know books like this existed until now and I can honestly say I have not had this much fun since I was still in the crayon crowd! Normally I do Sudoku to kill time but this looked like a nice change of pace. The coloring part is fun and the designs are intricate and beautiful, but what really surprised me was how quickly it settled me down. My attention just narrowed down to the artwork on the page and what colors I wanted to use and everything else just faded away. It's been a long time since I got to do something that was both creative and calming. The hardest part is tearing myself away to fix dinner or do laundry. Oh who am I kidding, the laundry can wait. This is way cooler!Each design is unique and elaborate enough to keep you busy coloring for a while. This would be the best thing on a plane trip or for office breaks on those stressful days when you need to take your mind off your job before you go postal on your co-workers. There are twenty-five designs to color, more than that if you color the designs on the title and intro pages. They're all fairly intricate designs but some are considerably more complex than others. I'm saving those for a rainy day! If this is just a sneak peek at the full collection I can't wait to get my hands on it.

After running across this special sneak-peek of “Omni Eyes: The All-Seeing Mandala Coloring Book” – I wonder why I stopped.This coloring book is the adult version of a good time well spent with markers, coloring pencils or pens. With intricate designs and fully printable pages, I fell into my thoughts, my head and my feelings and I let the patterns sweep me away.I truly cannot express how relaxing and meditative coloring Mandala’s is, it’s mesmerizing and captivating, each piece a work of art that YOU CREATE. The artist had given us the framework of patterns, designs that we follow and embellish upon, each one unique and true to how we are feeling. I could tell that each page was carefully wrought and drawn in order to elicit the most supreme state of concentration and even meditation – something Mandala art is meant to inspire. It’s easy to see that this is not some computer generated format, but a real, heartfelt artwork created for pleasure and use.I have attached a picture of my most recent effort, it’s rather amateur as I was using thick markers – but I am buying thin line pens soon!

You can tell the artist took his to get this right. The attention to detail is incredible. You can see the artist did each drawing by hand. Also, the way it is set up so that the drawings are on their own page with nothing on the other side is brilliant. You can use markers or watercolors, and it will not bleed onto another drawing. The drawings themselves are worth more than the cost of the book.They designs are intricate, and as the book states they are very relaxing. I have high blood pressure, and my doctor recommended I try something to relax me. He suggested meditation. I found this through a general search, and I enjoy art. So I decided to try it out. So far it has been a great way to come down from the day and get some me time. I am enjoying this, and I feel so much calmer after completing a drawing. There is also a neat feature in here where you are taken hunt to find hidden cameras spying on you. That is a nice addition. So if you like drawings where you have to find hidden items, this has that in it. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for great designs, and fun and relaxing experience, and appreciate art, even at the amateur level. Children would very much enjoy coloring in the designs.Well worth the cost! And you can keep using each design by making copies of them or storing them on your phone by taking a picture and printing them out. Because of the detail of the drawings, you can create endless color combinations. So, this book can last a long time!
