Burnett My mom has macular degeneration, so the smaller, finer patterns in the adult coloring books are too hard for her. But, she loves to color. This book is WONDERFUL! She can see the patterns, but they're still involved enough that it doesn't feel like a kid's book. Can't say enough wonderful about this. The patterns are geometrics, and while similar as geometrics are, you don't feel you're coloring the same thing over and over. Each page is different enough to keep you happy.

I've never had any classes or instruction on how to draw, paint, sketch, etc., so the less intricate patterns are less intimidating. The only coloring experience I've had was as a child using crayons in my coloring books. Lol Right now I'm just enjoying choosing colors and figuring out what colors I want to go where. I bought a book with more intricate pictures but it's too intimidating and overwhelming for now. I'm sure I'll grow into it as I learn more about art techniques, colors, etc. For now, this book has just the right amount of detail that I like and need.

Perfect to practice blending and shading on! I gave it to a friend as a gift after I received it because it was on a much more simple side than I would like for myself but it was perfect for her. And for the price, you simply cannot go wrong.
