In Detail

Apache Mesos is a cluster manager that provides efficient resource isolation and sharing across distributed applications, or frameworks. It allows developers to concurrently run the likes of Hadoop, Spark, Storm, and other applications on a dynamically shared pool of nodes. With Mesos, you have the power to manage a wide range of resources in a multi-tenant environment.

Starting with the basics, this book will give you an insight into all the features that Mesos has to offer. You will first learn how to set up Mesos in various environments from data centers to the cloud. You will then learn how to implement self-managed Platform as a Service environment with Mesos using various service schedulers, such as Chronos, Aurora, and Marathon. You will then delve into the depths of Mesos fundamentals and learn how to build distributed applications using Mesos primitives.

Finally, you will round things off by covering the operational aspects of Mesos including logging, monitoring, high availability, and recovery.

A quick taste of Apache Mesos and how to configure it in simple Hello World like scenarios By Jascha Casadio Apache Mesos is usually referred to as the kernel of a data infrastructure. As such, it abstracts the resources made availabled by the nodes thus allowing the creation of fault-tolerant and elastic distributed systems, referred to as frameworks. While Mesos has been there since 2009, its popularity strongly increased this year as a consequence of the success Docker had, since the two technologies can work together smoothly and, among the many different ways to orchestrate that blue whale over a cluster, Apache Mesos certainly represents one of the best choices. Despite this, the titles dedicated to the subject are, sadly, less than two. True, the official documentation is well laid out and exhaustive, and the community very active and helpful. But yea, there is only one book currently dedicated to Apache Mesos: Apache Mesos Essentials, an introductory text that is meant to give the readers a quick taste of what can be achieved with it.Released early this summer, Apache Mesos Essentials is a thin introduction to Mesos, the cluster management system first developed by the University of Berkley then by the Apache Foundation. The book spans through some seven chapters, most of which show how to configure Mesos with some other technology to get them to work together. But let's get a little more into the details. The first thing that comes to the eyes is poor proofreading, something that, unfortunately, is not new to Packt Publishing. Not only articles are missing here and there, but sometimes entire sentences are semantically wrong. For example If the framework accepts a resource offer, the framework allocates the corresponding resourced to the framework and then the framework is free to use them. What a pity. The first chapter briefly introduces Mesos and some basic concept. No details, just a quick overview. The reader is also guided through the installation steps, as typical of any book's first chapter. What follows, is a series of chapters, up until the sixth excluded, where the author couples Mesos with another technology, which can be Hadoop, Storm or Spark. The pattern is always the same: quick introduction to what this technology can do, its history and some of its key features. Next, how to install it and get it to work with Mesos. A couple of notes here: first of all, there are no real world examples. The author always relies on the examples that each technologies comes with, that is, the reader is presented with Hello World! like examples, nothing more complicated. Similarly, there are no real world architecture scenarios. Second, these chapters feel like a manual. The pages are plenty of configuration files, nothing else. Which is something that the official documentation(s) are there for.Chapter 6 is certainly the best of the whole book and probably the only really worth reading. It gets into the internals of Mesos, explaining its different components. The whole thing is coupled with very clear and colorful diagrams that help the reader to get the overall picture. To wrap it all up, despite being the only book dedicated to Apache Mesos out there, I do not recommend it. The only chapter worth a read does not provide anything that the official documentation does already. Hopefully, thanks to the popularity of Docker, more books dedicated to Mesos will be written and we will have better choices. As usual, you can find more reviews on my personal blog: http://books.lostinmalloc.com. Feel free to pass by and share your thoughts!

Nice overview but needs more real-world examples and less manual pages By Mike Schilli This is a good introduction on how big organizations use Mesos. It explains at a conceptual and manual page level how to install the different bits and pieces and lists the commands necessary to run the examples that come with the source code of the different supporting open source projects. What it comes down to is that in a distributed environment without single points of failure every trivial task becomes complicated and you can't just use the usual Unix tool for it. Instead, you need a heavy artillery "framework" with 17 configuration files that each have about 42 parameters to tune it. Where you had a single cronjob that triggered every morning, you now need a “scheduler" framework that runs on top of the Mesos framework on a cluster of machines that makes sure that an “executor” framework triggers the task on any of the available nodes. The book explains this quite well.Every one of these 17 frameworks has its own set of parameters, like the number of times it retries to start a task if it fails at first, or the grace period it waits before it marks it dead, and so forth. The book explains every one of these parameters in several page-spanning two-column tables, which might be useful to some who don't want to cobble together the online documentation from the various project sites on the Web. At the risk that you might end up using a parameter that's no longer supported by the latest version that came out after the book was printed or arrived on your Kindle, of course. The author’s writing style is a bit dry, the book reads sometimes like a manual page, sometimes like a buzzword prospectus at a Big Data fair. What I find a bit disturbing is that a somewhat experienced publisher like Packt apparently forgot to fill in the missing “the” and “a” articles into sentences like “Aurora has master-slave architecture”, “each framework does fine-grain job”, and “we will start with Hadoop framework”. Also, while sentences in Hyderabad-English sometimes start with the words “Storm project includes”, “Resources offer represents”, or “Application consists”, that’s bad grammar which should have been fixed by an editor before publication. The book only provides one coding example of a framework written by the author, which illustrates how to calculate the area under a graph and shows how to scale it across several nodes quite nicely. When it comes to practical use, topics like unit testing or monitoring are only discussed in a hand-wavy manner without real examples. The book could provide good value by showing a relatively simple real world example from scratch with all the details, like testing, debugging, rollout, etc., maybe in the next edition. As it is, it has its value as a broad overview.

2 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Essentials and not much more. By René Moser I am writing this as I offered review for PackPub. I am not paid for this review. The review is my own option. The book gives a overview what Apache Mesos is and how it can be used. It shows detailed how to install and configure Apache Mesos, sometimes a bit too detailed, but I assume you will also be able to find it as much detailed online in the docs.It is not written like a thriller, more like a documentation or manual collected into a book. The author only gives a few lines where Apache Mesos is used, I am missing real world examples. For me it is not a must have book.

As the book opens Jake is contacted by a woman that he hasn't seen or talked to in over a decade to advise him of an international plot to take over the world. Almost immediately he encounters two young men apparently spreading graffiti on the subway walls. He realizes that the graffiti are actually messages in a lost language and that the Hidden are communicating with each other. He finds that the Hidden are groups of the richest and most powerful people on earth that his ex girlfriend is alluding to and the messages are a call to arms for them. A raid is launched against Fort Hamilton in Brooklyn by a band of terrorists supported by the Hidden. At the same time thousands of birds begin falling out of the sky. Dogs begin running wild and howling on the streets. Jake begins an investigation of his own which is seemingly against all logic with his life being threatened at every turn. How do you fight against an enemy that can't be seen? How do you stop the richest and most powerful people on the planet from taking what they want? A conundrum almost impossible to solve but Jake goes against these impossible odds. The book is pure entertainment which requires more than a little stretch of the imagination to imagine that one person can prevail against the might stacked against him. Given this stretch makes Sunfail an entertaining read and one that will keep the reader going until the end.

10 of 10 people found the following review helpful. Four and a half stars By booklover I was attracted to the premise of this book because it reminded me of Asimov’s short story “Nightfall,” which was genius. This turned out to be a different twist, but every bit as gripping. A conspiracy thriller set in an apocalyptic New York. Great protagonist in the soldier-turned-subway-electrician. A few scenes were a bit strong for me (just a personal thing--others would certainly find them exciting and gritty), but the wonderful plotting made up for it.

7 of 7 people found the following review helpful. Never quits By Kelly Matthews I love a good Steven Savile story. This one is no exception. From an underwater archeological discovery to the subway tunnels beneath New York City to the hallowed halls of Columbia University, this book keeps screaming around curves. A world-wide black out, dogs roaming loose in the streets, mysterious symbols, birds falling from the skies, secret societies and assassins. I never knew what was coming next and that's the mark of a fantastic book for me.

This wrapped the series up nicely (though I could see some of the other Hellions maybe getting a book or two). I have very few complaints. I adored Skellen and Elezar as much, if not more, than I did in book one. I liked the world, the side characters, the writing, pretty much all of it.I did think it felt overly long, like the middle dragged a bit. As with the other three books by Hale that I've read, the editing is surprisingly problematic. There aren't a ton, but everything is so well done that I just don't expect to stumble across copy edit mistakes. And I thought the ending a bit abrupt. Both in the sense that the final danger was quickly overcome and in the sense that after the climactic battle we're given very little winding down of the story. But despite my grumbles I'll be looking for more of Hale's writing for sure.Note: borrowed from library

One or two is one thing, but this many really threw me out of the book world, over and over. There were patches where there was one every other page or so, there were a few clear patches, and then in the middle of one dense patch of typos, there were three on just one of my little kindle screen pages. The books (all 4 in the series) were intense and detailed and wonderful, but this last one in particular doesn't look like it received much proofing. It really is a shame; the story itself was engrossing and I hated it to end.

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Good book but needs much better editing By A customer I really loved this series. However, the reason that I can give the final part only 4 stars is: bad editing. Truly bad editing. Editing is not the strong point of any of Ginn Hale's books, but this one holds the negative record. I submit editing errors as corrections on my kindle (category "typo" for lack of a more fitting category) and for this book I entered 18 of them, where there are few books that get more than 5 from me. Ginn Hale's books do not have many real grammar errors, but instead she commonly has sentences missing words or having additional words in places where they do not make sense. In this book:SELECTED TEXT : SHOULD BEgreater of immunity : greater immunitycaptain the harbor : captain of the harborvictoryagainst : victory againsthim house : him to housestumbled and knew : stumbled and he knewa feeling a : a feeling ofrelived at : relieved atof the of : of thelittle though he’d : little thought he'dtoday you it’s : today for you it'sa kind a : a kind ofbeer of the : beer if thewill sea : will a seablazing decent : blazing descentfive Elezar’s : five of Elezar'sthough the all the : though all the“From what I understand. This book has randomly simple words any third grader would know:BookBagTractorTomatoCarrotPencilBroccoliPianoFluteDrumGuitarXylophoneBarnAirplaneBeneath each of these words is the accent filled pronunciation you might see in a dictionary. There is no explanation of how to use the accent marks and strangely written letters and this book would be of no assistance to a third grader, or any kid for that matter. This is a horribly written and presented book, it's not a phonics book, it's not suitable for anyone of any age to teach phonics and I absolutely do not recommend it to anyone.I received a digital copy of this book free in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are 100% my own.

I thought it might be a good exercise for her to practice words This is basically a set of flashcards. It shows a picture and then has a word with a pronunciation guide. The picture then made it very easy to guess the word. I explained the pronunciation guide and a little bit about how that works, but it was above their heads. It was maybe a tiny bit useful to show that there were two correct ways to say some words. Mostly though, I'm not sure that was a useful feature and was confusing for my kids.My nearly-3rd-grade reader had no trouble at all with any of the words. I think the most difficult was xylophone. Most of the words were appropriate for my 4 year old. "Barn" for example was easy, especially when paired with a picture of the the barn. He had a harder time with Guitar (he guessed violin from the picture) but given the picture and knowing it started with G, he was able to easily work it out. It's a unique mix of really easy and more difficult words.I was going to give it 4/5 but my kids insisted on 5/5 stars. :)Disclaimer: I received this book at a free or reduced price in exchange for my honest opinion.

I was able to download this book for free, so I downloaded it to look at with my son, who is three years old. I thought it would be a little advanced for him, but since we’ve been learning to read, I figured it’d be worth checking out. It was actually great for him. At this point, I'm not real up to date on the reading standards for grade 3, but I feel like this book would be pretty boring for any child in grade three. If anything, I would say this book is more of a preschool level. What I liked about the book-Pictures with each word. My son isn’t quite reading yet, so for most of the words, he guessed what is was based on the picture, then we spelled the word, broke it down, and sounded it out.-Simple words – like I said, it seemed like a preschool level book to me, so simple words like barn, drum, etc. were great.-Simple pictures. A simple black and white drawing of the word was great, sometimes pictures with other things in the background (trees, kids, instruments, etc) can be distracting from the main idea (or word in this case.)What I disliked –-Pictures not fitting with words, as other reviewers have mentioned, like the recorder with the word flute. It was a little confusing for my son. Although, I will note that if you search flute on google images, there are *some* pictures of recorders that show up, but very few.-“Grade 3” – like I said, this was great for my three year old. If I had downloaded this book for a 9-10 year old, I would have been disappointed.*Note, I downloaded this book for free for my honest, unbiased review.

A rich life in another country By Sonq'o I thoroughly enjoyed this book in English and as I live in a spanish-speaking country I can try to learn more espanol. Alan, the people here 'care' for their animals just as much as you have observed in yours. Make an appointment and you can be sure that they won't turn up on time and it's even more likely that they won't show. Pick up a phone to tell you? Heavens, no! But the next time they see you it's all smiles and besos. Like you and Lovely Lorna, I concentrate on all the beauty around me and just watch the locals without getting emotionally caught up. Keep on enjoying life!

The Museum für Moderne Kunst in Frankfurt staged Miroslav Tichy's (1926–2011) first solo exhibition in Germany in 2003, just after his photographs were rediscovered, and quickly built the largest public collection of his work, including 85 photographs and 4 sketches. Selections from this important collection are published in this volume, along with photographs of the artist in his ragged clothing taken by Petr Kozanek between 1965 and 1985.

Lydia has lived her entire life in Caligatha, a quaint coastal resort that seems blissfully unaware the world has been destroyed. Jericho, a brilliant scientist riddled with guilt over the loss of his deceased wife and child, attempts to recreate them only to wind up in a drug-fueled haze of depression in Caligatha. When the two meet and form a rocky relationship, strange dreams and visions begin to haunt them, and they suspect something is not quite right about Caligatha. Meanwhile, in another timeline, survivors of a worldwide plague attempt to understand how it all went wrong, and survive in a near-future wasteland of high technology and chaos. The evidence they find brings both stories together in a shocking way. Caligatha is full of rich characters including a strong female protagonist, and layers of mystery that will keep the reader guessing until the end. A thrilling exploration of the dark fringes of a derailed-singularity world: nanotechnology, genetic engineering, and artificial intelligence alter the rules of human existence. But human drives and motives remain unchanged at their best--and at their most terrifying. What readers are saying: "Caligatha is a unique blend of post-apocalyptic mystery and a darkly human tale of love and loss. Traces of William Gibson-esque nightmarish technology infringe on a romantic world." "Caligatha blends science fiction, literary fiction, horror, mystery and thriller elements into a uniquely compelling tale featuring a strong female protagonist. Dense and multi-layered, but also an easy read, it will appeal to fans of all genres." "One of the most pleasurably-disorienting books I've read. So many layers and reveals, and I'm still left wanting more." "Neil Gaiman meets Margaret Atwood meets terrifying things...it's fun exploring their world." "You reach the middle, and it punches you in the stomach. Then every page after that keeps punching you in the stomach. I couldn't stop reading until the end. I really hope there's a second book planned."

It was a great read and I must say I was actually blown away with how good it was. Taking me on unexpected turns and not just at the end of the book like most do. The sentences...lines upon lines in the book...such poetic beauty...this author certainly knows his words and uses them well. A haunting read, one that will follow you well after you finish it.I don't even know where to begin...the story is so complex it is difficult to describe (but not difficult to read). It's exactly what a sci-fi book should be. I don't like to give spoilers on my reviews so I am gonna tread lightly on describing the story-line. We have Eric, Crane, and Mae...traveling nomads in this post apocalyptic civilization. A treasure trove of articles, a journal, letters, are found by them or rather they were out seeking these things, and from that we get the motherboard of stories!! Jericho...how it all began...why he is so important...his friendship with Reuben...Fern...Lydia....The Blue Coral. The scientist, Jericho...a highly intelligent man that created a cure all pill, Realm, MAIA, Caligatha, a means of survival..first out of necessity but soon spiraled into something selfishly justified by his own needs with no concern for the others. A time of nanotechnology, gene therapy, robotics, Jericho is a pioneer at the midst of it all...but to quote from the book, "When you make waves you produce peaks and troughs". From good, bad too seeped its way in and ran rampant. No one had time or the ability to fix it. On top of all that, Jericho came with his demons...demons in the form of drugs, an addiction he could not shake whether in reality or in his created world. Somewhat of a sick distorted love story for the woman he is fueled for...and their child...what happened to them at his hands...the longing to go back and make things right, failing miserably. Then we get hit with Keene and Emma and the reality that they are facing and how Lydia, Jericho and all the others tie in to that. Story within stories it's easy to be so deeply enveloped in this book. Just when you think you have it all figured out....you're getting another intricate layer to this world of sci-fi brilliance. But this is not just Sci-fi...it's Poetic Sci-fi. Wording alone makes this book so amazing...bonus that it's a great creative story. Thanks for my win of this book in exchange for an honest review and thanks to Matt Spire for creating such a wonderful story. You have done the Sci-fi genre loving world good with this one.

Some science fiction books are great because of their originality, their creations of places and beings and events of wonder. Others are great because they expose us to grand ideas and make us think about universal truths or universal questions, even universal deceptions. Others are great because they are so-well written and intricately plotted that they are simply a delight and amazement to read and we are left trying to wrap our minds around the question: how could anyone even write this? This book touches on all of the above. The plot is exceptionally deep and I need to read it again with pen and paper and take notes as I go. I got lost, but that is a compliment and not a criticism. There are still some questions I would ask the author if I had a chance. I don't yet have it unraveled but that makes it a fun puzzle to tease the mind. I like books that make me work and think. If you don't, you may not agree with my assessment of this book. It's an intellectual workout. The prose is great although the print version I had has not been meticulously edited and there are some grammatical mistakes and spelling mistakes that I did not allow to distract me. I was sufficiently distracted as it was.The ideas really sell this book for me. The first fun idea, a favorite of mine, is human awkwardness and relationships. This author crafted the perplexity and confusion of trying to relate to someone you are attracted to as well as I've read it anywhere. Another central theme is personal identity. Who am I really? Who is the real me? What gives me purpose and meaning? What makes me human? What do my thoughts, feelings, experiences, and how I react to them tell me about myself? How can I know what parts of me are genuine and others mere role-playing for the benefit of others or for some false ideal. Purpose and identity are complicated topics to deal with and this author does so with a dexterous subtlety.I was reminded of two things I read in the past while reading this book. One was an idea, I think it was by Peter van Inwagen, who asked, "How do we know we really are who we think we are and are not just some brain soaking in a vat with electrodes connected to it being stimulated by a complex computer program to give us what we think are real experiences?" The other idea came from Kant's Critique of Pure Reason which I think can be partly summed up in the assumption, "We can't know that the world is real, but at least we can know our perceptions are real" To which I always react, how can we know our perceptions are real?If you want a challenging read with a mind-blowing plot and some deep imponderables, take the plunge.

Takes you on a truly interesting reality built around the imagination with all the trademarks of a thick, important science fiction book.Lovers of science fiction will take to this book and find it truly in the realm of pure storytelling. It mixes all the futuristic ideas and completes itself into something that stands out above a lot of other science fiction books. The future. A scientist who tries to bring his wife and child back. During this process his drugged mind and ultimate depression play a factor in his overall experiments and frustrations. Add in a world that is lost, striving to live and you have at times, a book that not only weaves its interesting ideas, but also has the reader thinking, guessing, contemplating just how unique, or real these concepts are.It has all the clichés of a post-apocalyptic world, but yet, feels fresh and original. There is a unique mixture of mystery with the deep understanding of imagination. That imagination brought forth by Matt Spire, seems as if it's from the realms of the subconscious mind. The old additive of just how far can technology lead us without destroying us, or without confusing the mind, and taking away the thought process of sanity. Technology can ultimately cloud the rational judgement of the most genius of people. This book is very different, in that it has so many different doors, leading to different outcomes, or the old simple comment, twists and turns. I felt drained. I felt totally immersed into a layered complex narrative that my mind dreamed outside of my head. No matter how far fetched the reality was, it made sense, if that makes sense.Matt Spire is able to truly grasp a story, and give it a life like structure that no matter how out there it is, or how futuristic, or horror laced it is, he makes you believe. He makes you understand. He takes you on a twisted journey that I can’t truly put into words without sounding illogical. Spire is a wonderful storyteller that bleeds the imaginative ideas, concepts, dreams, future, dark reality that only a great storyteller could create. This is a different book. It is a different style of storytelling. There is a great mixture of realities in this book. Lovers of William Gibson and sparks of Philip K. Dick mingle.Caligatha is in a sense all originality weaved around a nightmarish, dream like illusions, that become a reality inside your mind.Spire gives a human side to the fanciful. He gives an intrinsic voice to the future, and emotion to it's sad setting.Would I Return to it again: Yes I would. There is truly a gifted spark of dreamy, technology rape, that is brilliant and yet nightmarish.Would I Recommend: Absolutely to lovers of science fiction and futuristic techno, end of society style readers.Original posting on my webpage: http://www.classicbookreading.com/2015/09/matt-spires-caligatha.html

"This book is amazing!" : Thomas Pridgen (Mars Volta, Suicidal Tendencies, Memorials, etc) "I love it!" : John "J.R." Robinson (Michael Jackson, Eric Clapton, Quincy Jones, etc) "Itz mad cool" : Chris Dave (Robert Glasper, Adele, D'Angelo, etc) "I love this book, it is great" : Gerald Heyward (Michael Jackson, Blackstreet, Mary J. Blige, etc) "I found it really informative, useful and visually interesting." : Clayton Cameron (Frank Sinatra, Billy Joel, Mariah Carey, etc) Drummers are athletes. Playing the drums well requires the skilled use of the entire body. Unfortunately, most books on drumming focus exclusively on what notes should be played, and give little or no attention to the how they should be played. This leaves drummers with a problem. When you misunderstand technique, you will experience frustration when new techniques aren’t as easy to learn as they should be, limitation in what you can do because the techniques don’t work like they should, and injury when the extra wear and tear caused by bad technique builds up. The solution is simple: Anatomy of Drumming is your guide to moving well, learning faster and avoiding injury. When you understand the mechanics of moving and how they apply to the drums, you will know for yourself how techniques work, so you can use them effectively. Anatomy of Drumming is both a description of how the body works and a prescription for how to move better. Starting with the mechanics of movement, Anatomy of Drumming takes you through what you need to know about the body and how to use it effectively. It covers the basics of anatomy and the physics of drums; how to set up the drums for your body, Moeller technique, matched grip vs. traditional grip, and many other important topics. Through learning about the proper use of the body at the drum set, you will be able to learn faster, play with better facility and reduce injury.

Fantastic Discussion of the Physiology of Drumming By Kelly Wood In this book, John Lamb shows his understanding of drumming-- and physiology-- from an amazingly adept perspective. It will change-- and improve-- the way you think about drumming, being a drummer, and physical movement in general. It inspired me to pursue my Alexander Technique classes as well as reconsider the ways I move in the world, not just via drumming. John Lamb is a very smart, very well-educated, and very interesting teacher and person. If you read this book, you will learn what he teaches in his own classes. His is a fabulous methodology to pursue.

You'd think I'd be pretty good and sitting down, right? Wrong! Turns out, when you're learning to drum, there's a lot more opportunity to screw up your body through repetitive strain and bad form than you'd think. My son has a drum set that I've taken a shine to, but I was finding that after about 10-15 minutes, my back, neck, and arms would start to ache, sometimes for hours after I stopped. Not surprisingly, this impacted my practice and my ability to progress.Lamb's Anatomy of Drumming is full of fascinating facts and recommendations about the body and how to improve drumming form. For example, I've always had a hard time sitting comfortably for long periods, especially on hard chairs. Then, on page 64, I discovered that "on 10%-15% of people, however, the bottom of the sit bones are pointy." Well, that actually makes sense for me! Now I know the problem and what I can do about it.There are a million ways to learn how to do something you love wrong. If you love drumming, or even want to dabble with getting started, do yourself a favor. Don't hurt yourself. Learn to drum so that you feel comfortable and free by buying this book. Your future progress will thank you.

I'm a late drummer, though a trained musician, when I inherited my son's drum kit and decided to learn drums to develop a better rhythmic feel, and ended up enjoying the drums a lot more. For the best results, this is not a casual beach reading book. I needed to read, analyze and try to apply the various sections to my drum playing. For the beginner player, I would also check out John Lamb's "Start Playing the Drums"

A Slam Dunk of a book By Thom I could not put this book down.I tried to stop reading to eat and go to the restroom but it was tough. My Father was in the RAF in 1944 when this book is set .Do not let time travel put you off Michael crafts the book well ,it has adventure, heart stopping action (eg trying to get out of a burning bomber) Love interest and Glen Miller. Well how DO you know that history turned out the way it said in the History books. Michael has got himself into the mind of a 1944 person and they were not that much different from us. Those who want to pick up about what Brits were like then and are still like it is topping read old bean .Dowton Abbey is past Michaels books are starting .Y'all want a good read well this is it .Guys especially will be able to relate to what he says. I love history and especially WWII setting. I believe it was fairly accurate historically. I liked the characters and it had a good ending.
