The substantial code examples really set this book apart by providing complete examples of working code rather than snippets. I found the book's supplemental website to be much more comprehensive than I expected both for readers and instructors.

The topics covered are properly structured and well organized. The book avoids paragraphs of lengthy textual explanations but emphasizes on using code snippets, which gives you a better understanding of the topics covered. Another thing that is worth mentioning is that all the code snippets in this book are very easy to understand. A very vast topic is presented in a concise and effective manner.I find the transformation programming topics in this book very unique. Using XML to store and retrieve data is explained wonderfully in this book. Another thing that makes this book stand out from the rest is use of Oracle database, contrary to most books out there that chose MySQL database. The companion website is amazing, you can save a lot of time by reusing the code and supporting files from the resources section of the website. It’s a great book, I like the way it’s crafted and the way it crafts you to program for business needs.

By jesuslovesus A friend gave me the book, as well as one of Spry Mind'sother adult coloring books, thinking I could use them with the 5th grade students I teach. I really like how many of the images include simple, faintly-outlined background designs, which can either be colored in....or ignored....depending on how much coloring the person wants to do. These backgrounds add a level of sophistication to the drawings, while still keeping them simple and manageable. My students will love these books, as will an elderly friend who loves cars and has recently become mostly immobile due to his illness. Looking forward to more titles!

Fun & Engaging By Remodeling Clay With the days of grade school art class long behind us, the opportunity to engage that creative side without the time and resources to pull out those art supplies or take a class is such a welcome break from the hustle of 9to5. Just taking a few minutes to break away from the stress of the day with these books has really been a welcome addition. The simple design lets you flex as much (or as little) creative muscle as you want to have a fun experience. I'm a customer, but I am also a big fan.
