1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Chasing Ribbons Review By Diana Angell I am disappointed in this one of the series. The quality of the writing took a step back. There is a spellcheck error where the wrong word is selected and it changes the meaning of one of the paragraphs. This proofreading error is typical in the early books and now it's back. It seems sloppy. The author doesn't explain why Jess is now nice after coming back from Europe. She explains why she is a better rider, but not her new attitude. What made her change? If Jess is so nice, why is she hanging out with Becka and Tara? And then, there is the ending. The ending doesn't work for me at all. A few chapters before, Emily's father was cool and level headed when coaching Emily right before her class, so his ride was out of character and a huge stretch. So much so that I may give up the series.

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Why do I keep reading these stories? By sandcat To be honest, it's more of a 2 1/2 star, but barely. I'm continuously baffled by why there are so many chapters in these books. What is the purpose of one-page chapters and having 53 chapters in a book? Also, I don't know if I paid attention in previous books, but I certainly noticed it in this one...everyone "cried". Nothing was exclaimed. Nothing was said. It was all "he cried", "she cried". Why on earth would Emily cry "Let's do this!" just before her class? Does the author not know that by using something like "she cried" it's an exclamation. So when Emily cried "Let's do this!" she was saying it very loud. Also, it had her galloping into the ring and starting her class immediately...? I don't know about in England, but I have seen many show jumping classes in my state and NOBODY gallops into the ring and starts immediately. I don't think it's allowed. And since the story takes place in Florida, which is in the US, then the author should take that into consideration when writing these stories, especially since she now lives in the US. One last thing...Dakota. This whole thing about her...stealing a horse and Emily going to look for her just as a storm starts? Was it necessary for the storm to happen? And if her grandparents can barely afford anything, how can they afford the lease on what is obviously a well-trained horse, even for a couple of months? You can't just hop on a horse and do sliding stops and spins on it if its never been trained to do it. And those aren't moves barrel racers usually do so how can Dakota magically know how to do them?

So many of the shifter genre books I’ve read lately have been dark or serious in nature, but this one was laugh out loud funny! Mason is an action star on his way down the ladder. He hasn’t had a decent movie in ages, but isn’t willing to let his career go just yet. Joni is a recently graduated film student and current intern/resident nerd on Mason’s latest movie set. When the two meet on set sparks fly, but Joni isn’t convinced a movie star she has idolized for years could possibly want anything to do with a nerdy intern. Mason is determined to convince Joni that he is seriously interested in her, but he has a couple of pretty big secrets he’s hiding. How will she react to a washed up movie star that can secretly turn into a bear? This story left me with a big smile on my face. The dialog was hysterical, I loved the chemistry between Joni and Mason (Mason was just plain HOT), and the HEA was satisfying (if not completely unrealistic, but that’s fiction right?). Overall, yes, I would highly recommend this book if you are looking for a sweet but steamy romance with laugh out loud dialog and a hero and heroine you will genuinely like and want to read again. I was given an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Bear shifter Mason is an action star, his agent wants him to get out more and work on his public image, but all Mason wants is to live in the woods and help needy children. Joni is a new intern on Mason's film, the job is nothing like what she expected it to be, but it is worth it to be anywhere near Mason, who she's had a crush on for years. Mason feels an attraction for quirky Joni but she believes he wants his co star and not Joni. Can Mason convince Joni it is her he wants and not his nasty co star Gisella? Now that Mason has found his mate, he needs to tell her that he is bear shifter, but how will Joni take this discovery? If you are ready to laugh, you must read this story, it is literally the funniest book I have read all year! I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

A quick read, it is an easy way to lighten up a day, because it doesn't take anything too seriously. Over the course of his career he won many awards including the Evening Standard Award, 1969; the John Whiting Award, 1969; the Sony Best Play Award, 1981; the Laurence Olivier Award, 1985; the Royal Television society Award for Best TV Play, 1987; and was nominated for an Oscar in 1993.
