The best banjo instruction book on the market- by far By richard climie This is by far the best banjo instruction book I have found in several years of lookingRoss Nickerson has gone to a lot of trouble to explain all the techniques in a clear consise mannerHis section on the rolls is superb and he takes you along with him through the book by gradually increasing thecomplexity of the exercises and songsI have learned more from this book ( and my playing has improved more) in the past month than the past 18 months ofwading through other books and skype lessons. Even my wife noticed and I am now allowed to practice in the living room! Well done Ross, I hope its a best seller- Richard Climie

And it does so in a very concise and direct way that I enjoyed very much By Jan Cardozo As a programmer I’ve always been interested in the C/C++ language; since it’s always being remarked as the most powerful and flexible of all the high level programming languages. So I took some time to read this book on my local library.The book takes you through the bases of the language; variables, operators, capturing input and flow control. And it does so in a very concise and direct way that I enjoyed very much.It pretty much gave me a complete introduction to what I wanted to learn.But that wasn’t everything the book had in store…To my surprise, the book had a comprehensive introduction to MySQL too; data types, query and ddl syntax, and even a small chapter covering how MySQL and PHP can work together.A pretty complete package, I would recommend this to anyone looking for an introduction to either technology.

Currently we are working on designing a proprietary contact relationship management software at my firm and our team of programmers are writing it with a lot of MySQL. I have a good understanding of what they are talking about because I read this and databases are not my forte.

About the Author Laurie Aaron Hird is a wife, homemaker and mother to eleven children. She enjoys quilting, embroidery and homeschooling. Laurie, her husband and younger children live on a small acreage in the Wisconsin countryside. She is the author of two books: The Farmer's Wife Sampler Quilt (KP Craft, 2009), and The Farmer's WifePony Club Sampler Quilt (self-published, 2011). Laurie has a blog where she posts letters and photographs from her extensive collection of Farmer's Wife magazines. She has been on guest on the PBS television series "Sewing With Nancy" for both books.

99 of 101 people found the following review helpful. Be careful! Lots of mistakes By Janelle Webb Let me start by saying how much I love this quilt and the farmer's wife 1920 edition. That being said you need to be careful! There are lots of typos throughout the patterns for the squares ex. The wrong number to cut or even missing a piece. I am making the queen and it says to make 94 of the 99 squares. You actually need all 99. Also it says to buy 4 yards of fabric for the white between the squares, I just finished cutting them out and I probably used about a yard and a half.Don't get me wrong I love this quilt it's absolutely adorable but it's been super annoying dealing with all the mistakes. The author and editor need to take a look at what they made and fix the mistakes.

39 of 41 people found the following review helpful. Lacking good rotary measurements By Marguerite The rotary instructions are disappointing. There are many more blocks in the book that could possibly be cut with a rotary cutter, but the author neglected to add the rotary measurements to the list. Then there are some blocks where you could rotary cut the entire block, but the author only gave measurements for a portion of it. Example: Block #31, Eva - The author gives rotary measurements for triangle B, while the entire block could be rotary cut if measurements were simply given. Block #95, Sylvia - is entirely composed of squares and rectangles, but this block is not included in the rotary list at all. To say that rotary instructions are given when possible is very misleading.

11 of 12 people found the following review helpful. Great Project - Problems with Pattern By N. Cook There are too many corrections to this book to start the project. Check out the author's web site. The author is working with the publisher to correct problems with the CD. I am waiting for those final corrections before I cut into my fabric. What a mess. Quality Control is so very important with a quilting book. Fabric is too expensive now to be a beta tester. There are 2 different Quilt Along gropus on-line and they have the corrections also. Do a search for Farmers Wife 1930 Sampler quilt along and download the corrections. Or, wait until all mistakes are corrected. I believe the fault lies with the publisher and their process with the .pdf files.

Go Green with cleaning By Gia Non toxic chemical free cleaning you can't beat it and it is so much healthier for you and allot less expensive when you go to the grocery store. This is loaded with ideas for cleaning solutions. I myself am allergic to Clorox and the scent of ammonia,which it seems hard to find a cleaning product without it. My daugher's favorite is "too cute" of "so cute" which is a mix of all animals but we haven't seen for a couple of years so this does nicely. I'm sure kitten one as cute too.

Though I think he may have written himself into a hole. The main character and his ship are not unique anymore, they are building more of the interlink cruiser. Will be interested how they manage to survive.

However, some passages were not well written and sounded like they were truncated from an article so that they could be fitted as a passage for MCAT practice (some sentences in the paragraphs were not completed, ideas did not connect, etc.). I still thought the bundle deal was good and this source is useful but don't use this as the only practice source for the MCAT CARS section.

Good product reasonable By Dillon Nguyen This source is comparable to Examkrackers 101 passages and even harder to test your critical thinking skills. Would recommend this product to anyone looking for good MCAT practice for the new test, not many people are able to replicate the real verbal passages but testing solutions does. Job well done Testing Solutions, will pass this on to my friends taking the MCAT.
