She received a bachelor of music degree from Manhattanville College and a master of education degree from the University of Connecticut.Abigail Conners is an Early Childhood Music Specialist throughout the New Jersey area. Her programs include singing, dance, rhythm instrument activities, literacy/music activities, and listening games. This is her first book with Gryphon House.

She has taught a music class to my school for over 20 years. The children are always very excited to see her each time she comes. She is very knowledgeable to the children's needs and caters her music program to their level. This book would be a great addition to any class or family who is looking for a way to incorporate musical instruments into their program. There are lots of cute ideas and songs that everyone will love!

Dunmire I've long admired Abby's approach as a teacher and her determination to nurture creativity in young children -- she does it so well! Her book Shake, Rattle, and Roll: Rhythm Instruments and More for Active Learning is a beautiful reflection of her dedication and own creativity.
