By Amazon Customer Lots of coloring books out there but this is one of my favorites. I especially like the fact that there are samples of the designs in color. I'm not using the same colors that they are, but it's interesting to see what areas can be colored using the same colors to look good. There are other books in this series that I bought. They look good, too, but I haven't started to color them yet.

Pages are thick enough to use markers, and having one design per sheet helps displaying each art on the wall without wasting or leaving designs behind.Looking forward to ordering other coloring books from Skyhorse Publishing.

This book takes you through each of the many elements that work together to produce great stories and once you have read this book you will not only be aware of how they interact to make stories that are interesting and engaging, but also the secrets of how to use them to make your story better.The writer covers a wide array of topics including how to make a stunning opening, how to make your characters fascinating, how to create memorable scenes and how to introduce plot twists. Blaine Hart takes you through each stage of your piece of fiction until you have built up a winning and marketable story. He is great at showing how the story should arc and how you should pace your work.There are a huge number of little details that I found very useful such as the importance of using encounters in your fiction and how to write believable dialogue.Perhaps what sets this book apart from the competitors is that the writer is not only concerned with how to make a great work of fiction, but how to make you a better writer. His advice is concerned with the whole area of writing and any budding writer will find a great deal of practical and reliable guidance.A great way to improve as a writer!

I've found that its a great way to boost my creativity and even expand my vocabulary. This book has helped me take things to a whole new level. Writing Fiction the Right Way By Oliver Sadler I found this book on writing fiction to be a wonderful resource that is packed with so many valuable tidbits of information and advice. The way that Blaine Hart takes you step-by-step through the whole process of writing a fiction book is extremely helpful and in-depth.The advice on how to prepare before you even begin writing is very illuminating and goes into great detail on being organized, goals and distractions. Also impressive is the section on handling any criticism your drafts receive, how to create plot twists and how to make decisions for your story such as themes and atmosphere.The best part was the chapter that looked at creating and developing characters, particular the part that focused on the Protagonists. I learnt a great deal about how to make them well-rounded and develop them through dialogue.There are tremendous sections on writing endings, editing and even taking breaks. I cannot recommend this book highly enough to anyone aspiring to be a writer of fiction. Five stars!

He would get super excited and engrossed in his reading... this book not only caught his attention but drew him into the story.I dare you not to get sucked into the plot - Sandy Toes (Amazon Top 1000 Reviewer)I almost passed on this book, because although I like sci-fi, I'm not normally a fan of YA, especially when the main protagonist is only 12 years old. I'm more drawn to more mature YA, such as Divergent or Hunger Games, which deal with older characters and more adult themes. I was further skeptical, because the synopsis of the book sounded like a rip-off of Ender's Game. The first couple of chapters reinforced that feeling, but then something strange happened, and before I knew it, I began to care about Aiden and his friends. To be sure, there are echoes of Ender's Game, but I dare you not to get sucked into the plot despite yourself.

I did go back and read the first chapter twice to get a better understanding of the primes. Throughout the book there was levels of mysteries, and intrigue. You will not want to put it down as the book leaves you wanting to find out what happens next. It sweets you to a magical place much like Narnia, Harry Potter, Divergent, and so many other wonderful book take you. It was so descriptive that I could see exactly everything playing out in my head, like a movie. It is something that is easy enough for young kids to comprehend and yet entertaining enough for adults of all ages to enjoy. The ways the prime system works is quite innovative, and the technology that is described in this story makes you amazed at the imagination of the human mind. Would recommend it to anyone.

An excellent book about futuristic nerds, relationships, preparing for battles against unknown enemies, and spiritual awakenings By John WilliamsSon 2100 I am reviewing this book based on reading the paperback edition of the book. The author mailed me an autographed copy of the book with NO obligation on my part. I do not know the author, but I feel like I know him through his characters.REVIEWEvery 12-year-old imagines being able to get back at the big kids at school when he is a lowly plebe. Aidan is 12 years old, and is his universe's version of a Nerd. He was taken away from his parents practically as soon as he was born, and he has no idea who they were. He was placed into a "family" of 12 kids, all the same age, but before the book starts, 9 of those kids have died, and there are only three left. They call each other brothers and sister.Aidan is a Prime, a child with special powers that came upon him as the result of the "Prime Stimulus" which is an injection given to any baby whose genetic code is compatible with the stimulus. Unfortunately, each Prime has some kind of defect. Aidan's main defect is the inability to sleep, thus the title of the book.Enough of an introduction. This book is delightful. With hours of time not available to his mates, Aidan has been very successful playing his world's equivalent of video games, playing a virtual reality simulation of many levels in which, if you are hurt or killed, you feel it as if it had happened to you in real life, but you wake up back in real life. Aidan is so good that he can beat the 16-year-olds in the simulations.The author uses many examples of word play, using different meanings for the same phrase, which is a nice way to remind young readers how flexible our English language is. For example, on page 124, we read,>Here's another example of wordplay from page 138:>Humor also abounds, On page 40, one character tells another,>Their world is filled with combination animals, and each chapter is preceded by a picture of one of those animals, some rather strange combinations that could not happen in nature, others that theoretically could happen but don't; bearcat, dragleon, cobramoth, crocobull, and many more. These many animals give the author a chance to introduce his readers to old expressions in new settings. On page 175, we see:>One of the hallmarks of an excellent book to me are the ones that give me spiritual inspiration. Let me finish my review by sharing two passages that inspire me, and what they mean to me:page 234:>Meaning to me? Each of us have personal powers and abilities that we have received from "infinity" and even if we don't yet know how to use them in real life, they are a part of us, they are inside us.page 244:>Meaning to me? A few years ago, I had a dream in which I found myself flying through the air in a strange place, and I called out, "Is this death? If so, I'm ready!" When I was younger, I was scared of activities that could lead to death. Not only was I afraid of going to Vietnam, I was afraid of the Peace Corps because I didn't know what to expect.Just as this book touched my awareness, these characters expand their awareness as they learn to work together, even the 12 and the 16's learning to work together as they come closer to their destiny, and approach and learn about the rebellions that are taking place in the outside world from which they have been shielded all their life.CONCLUSIONThis is an excellent book, not just for the youth audience that it is written for, but for adults. I'm 64 and I loved reading this book. It is book one in a three book series, and I am definitely planning to read the other books when they come out.I highly recommend this book.

Kids being changed into extra-human non humans to fight a war. Interesting that their colors identify their special power, This one is kind of crazy, very entertaining with super technology and personalities. Ends better than it starts. This was not a "read to the end" type book for me. I am glad I finished it.

It's a good starting point, but you need more supplementary information to be able to start up/support a tropical aquarium than these books. I was a bit disappointed that I had spent money on these. I wouldn't recommend them.

I like how it provide great introduction and information about tropical fish. I learn knew things about how exactly you feed and taking care of a tropical fish. It is not easy. It needs patient and eager to learn step by step. In building a fresh water aquarium needs time and concentration to get it right. I have a little problem on the instructions but we resolve it since I need to read again and understand it well. It was a great help.

More like a little guide you can find in about 5 mins of searching on Google. Very disappointed! I read it in about 8mins! Now I'm returning it and looking for an actual book! It claims to be 54 pages. More like 20 by the time you factor in the huge font used and photos. If this was $3 it would be decent, but not for $10.

By Matt Hoover Worthless doesn't go low enough to describe my dismay at this book-let! Ok so it's 52 pages, no more like 20 pages after you realize the larger than normal font, the double and triple spacing between one and two sentence paragraphs, and the odd placement of photographs chews up a lot of space. Information is a muddling rehash of stuff found on the internet and presented in a confusing manner. Watch two or three 10 minute videos on blacksmithing on YouTube and you'll know more and have saved the cost of this book plus shipping! I'd send the book back but it's not worth my time to do so!

I had purchased the book 50 dollar knife shop for a bit more but it has everything this does and more. The pages were printed slanted and the text is large. All in all this was a good bit short read.

4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. Fabulous!! By SViall I love The Coloring Café books!! I own both of Ronnie Walter's Coloring Café books, both Journals, and both her novels too. She is an awesome artist and writer. The journals are a great thing for a family vacation. It's fun to have something to color during downtime along with being able to journal about the vacation. My 8 year old loves the coloring and while she's at it, I ask her to write a little about the day. It's great practice writing for her and an excuse for me to get her off the electronics. Anyone who likes puzzles or scrapbooking would love The Coloring Café books and journals.

By dcwrites Tower, the first installment of Tales From the Canyons of the Damned, introduces us to Nate, an apparent time/worlds traveler, veteran of multiple tours as a Ranger in Afghanistan and Iraq and, possibly, a survivor of the attacks on the World Trade Center, and Henry, enigmatic CEO of Titan, a company with concerns we do not yet know. The deliciously off-center language in the first, confusing scene tells the reader that something's afoot at the Circle K or, in this case, WTC No.1 - again.Without providing spoilers, I will say this time the attack involves mists and tentacles and lots of blood, but few answers. This first glimpse into the Canyons of the Damned serves to lure the wondering reader into a panting desire to read more, wonder more and hope for greater understanding.But that tentacle you think you see in the far corner of your eye may prevent you from finding out the full story, so stay vigilant and armed, keep looking for snacks, and keep reading. A couple on extremely minor grammatical stumbles in the beginning are far overridden by the smoothly crafted tale that ensues. Get this installment and you'll be on tenterhooks for more!

Darn Good Start To This Kingly Lovecraftian Serial By Michael Hicks Daniel Arthur Smith notes that his series of short stories, TALES FROM THE CANYONS OF THE DAMNED, are an homage to Stephen King and HP Lovecraft, and he proudly wears these influences on his sleeve.This first in his series of episodic releases in the TALES brand hits the ground running, and we're only a few taps of the Kindle screen before all goes bonkers. Nate is an ex-military man heading to work in his office job in One World Trade Center when, minutes into his new career, an EMP bomb knocks out the power and traps the workers inside 80-some stories up. After realizing help is not coming, Nate leads a small cadre of office drones into the stairwells in search of food and, perhaps if they're lucky, a way out. Only problem: there's a weird fog in the stairs, and plenty of screaming coming from the other side of the door...TOWER is, for all intents and purposes, a terrific mashup of King's THE MIST, with plenty of Lovecraftian tentacly goodness tossed in for good measure. While this a horror read, it's not over-the-top in its graphic depictions of bloodletting, but Smith does a good job setting the scene and giving us the gory info necessary to let us know the frights reach beyond any given Case of the Mondays these folks might be having.Note that TOWER is only the first episode of this particular serial, and the cliffhanger is rather sudden. All the more reason to move on to the next episode, Tales from the Canyons of the Damned: Sandhogs.

Very creepy read featuring an EMP, tentacles, lots of blood, mist, odd physics, and a skyscraper. In the middle, my fan suddenly came to life (faulty wiring... or is it??) and scared the bejeezus out me! I thought it was a nasty tentacle coming after me. Looking forward to reading the next installment!!

There’s a rising demand on “copywriting jobs” and I tend to fail them or give up doing them because I can’t really write a good one. I tried looking for ways, but the internet is so big, that it really gets me overwhelmed, I don’t know which one I should choose. So, I considered this book, took my time reading it and it worked wonders. I tried to apply for a copywriting job offer and I’m glad I made it! By James As a blogger and internet marketer I know that copy writing is just as important as the actual quality product I'm promoting. This book really did a good job of diving into the different types of copy writing, how they each are different, and then how to actually write for that specific style. There was a lot of different styles I had no clue about and it was interesting to learn how I could use each of them to my advantage as I promote and sell my products. Very good resource
