2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. JUST BE AWARE OF EXACTLY WHAT YOU ARE GETTING. By L. Schultz OK, right up front this is NOT a review on the content and quality of the commentary. It is a warning so anyone considering this purchase knows exactly what they are getting. The only volumes I have previously acquired in this series are beautiful, full color editions. I had no idea there was a "Black and White Edition." It's ridiculous because it is a significant element of these books. It is a selling point--to me at least. I have many text only commentaries that it couldn't matter less for. That's not what this is. The presentation makes it more engaging for a much wider audience. The lack of color severely undermines the effect and value. You could argue that the publishers are generously offering a more affordable product to place it in the hands of more readers. I don't know, I can find many comparably priced offerings for the "old" color editions. Someone else may speculate that they are just milking it for all they can get.Anyway, absolutely nowhere in the Amazon listing does it mention that this is the black & white ed. The only identifier is that tiny little black dot you see on the cover photo that you CAN NOT READ. Even if you use the "Look inside" feature you will see the full color 2007 edition and not the 2015 edition that you are purchasing. Also, nowhere there does it note that the 2015 edition is black and white. I am returning this one. I expect more transparency from Amazon. I suppose they get all their info from the publisher, so maybe they just didn't know. But you know what? I expect them to know better.
